If you’re not behind the times like me, then you’ve probably already gotten lost in A Song of Ice and Fire books by George R. R. Martin - otherwise known as the hit tv show Game of Thrones on HBO. As I said, I’m a latecomer to the party, so I’ve only just begun to dive into the world of Sothoryos, Essos, Westeros, and so on…
I’m about to fly out on for a week-long cruise with some pals from college. Sure, some may see this as something exotic and relaxing, which I’m sure it will be. Many look forward to the beaches, pools, oceanview, etc. My friends are excited for the booze, food, skimpy swimsuits, and sex. Me? I’m looking forward to time where nothing will distract me from hours of A Song of Ice and Fire. Sad - maybe. Nerdy - definitely. But maybe I’ll at least get a good tan while doing it.
So this tumblr thing is a branch out of the norm for me but thought I’d give it a try. My first post (and likely first of many) is dedicated to the woman pictured above, Ellie Idol.
